Most of the industrial warehouses in our country have a surface area of between 200m2 and 600m2 and with minimal or non-existent insulation, therefore they require an industrial heating system and here we explain how to do it.
Most of the industrial warehouses in our country country, have a surface between 200m2 and 600m2 and with minimal or non-existent insulation, basically they were not designed with a minimum of thermal comfort in mind, in short they require an industrial heating system.
In addition, Royal Decree 486/1997 specifies the minimum health and safety provisions, forcing minimum comfort temperatures of 14 to 17ºC depending on the type of activity, it is the employer’s obligation to seek solutions to heat workplaces that do not comply with this requirement, one of the most used options, is the use of diesel hot air generators, gas wall fan heaters or wood-burning stoves.
At MET MANN, as manufacturers of hot air generators with more than 50 years of history, we study the best solution to heat industrial buildings efficiently, economically and ecologically. Those responsible for occupational risk prevention, maintenance technicians or managers directly, are presented with the following questions:
How can we heat an industrial warehouse?
Which is the best option?
What is the best solution?
What fuels can we use?
What fuel consumption will I have?
What investment do I have to make?
Next, we will continue to explain with an example, what solutions we can offer you.
How can we heat a 600m2 industrial warehouse?
There are several industrial heating systems, hot water boilers with a fan coil system or fan heaters, gas radiant tubes, gas or electric radiant panels and hot air generators.
What is the best solution to heat an industrial warehouse?
- If we do not have natural gas, gas radiant systems are ruled out.
- If the warehouse is open-plan, it makes little sense to place a boiler, since by regulation it forces you to have a boiler room, in addition, the cost of the equipment and heat distribution systems is much higher.
- If the electrical power of the ship is used by other equipment around 80% or more,
- it will be difficult to have power to use electrical heating systems.
In short, the best option is air heaters or rather industrial hot air generators.
What types of fuels can we use?
The fuel used in industrial heating systems is usually diesel or gas, but at MET MANN, in addition to these fuels, we can offer pellet or wood heating equipment.
What fuel consumption will I have?
In the case of a 600m2 warehouse, you can have approximate thermal needs of about 140 kW, the estimated daily consumption of diesel would be about 67 liters.
What investment should I make?
